It follows the lives of these two characters over the next few years. But Lucy soon discovers other layers to Stephen’s character, and finds herself spiraling into a dark, disturbing and harmful relationship. It follows Lucy who begins college and is wooed by Stephen, and they soon start dating. This is an adult/YA contemporary exploring the beginning and life of an abusive relationship and what it does to the two people in the relationship. It’s just something I personally didn’t like. It kind of went over my head, but then again it’s not really the book’s fault.

The book is set in Hollywood – as in, the main characters are agents for people in Hollywood, and I wasn’t too interested in their work and their job.

I loved the characters! The characters were more than just the romance or the sex – they were motivated people and they had a lot more layers to them, which I enjoyed reading.It developed gradually, there was no unnecessary sex and it seemed realistic. The romance was good! It was sweet, well built-up, sexy and well-written! I usually have a problem with how romance is written in new adult contemporary books, but I really enjoyed this one.Looking at the subject matter and the plotline, this is the kind of book which should remain short and sweet, and to the point. I read this almost in a day, and I loved that the book was short and compact. I finally picked it up, looking for a break between some heavy books, and I’m so glad I decided to read this book! It was adorabel, fun, engaging and the perfect break I needed. I’ve never read anything by Christina Lauren before, I’ve heard a lot about their books, and have been meaning to read this one since last year. However, they soon find themselves working in the same office, and what’s even more – working for the same position in work. The two main characters (I’m super sorry I’ve forgotten their names :P) meet and immediately develop a connection, a sort of sexual tension, between them. This is a new adult romance which is set in an office/working environment.
